Woodard Weave® is DRY CLEAN ONLY.  Spot clean by lifting the stain as much as possible and blotting with absorbent material.  Apply a dry soil remover, following product directions. Professional application of a fiber sealant can help retard soiling.

You may gently vacuum the rugs. It is recommended to use a vacuum cleaning brush that does not have a motor inside so that you can control the level of abrasion. Motorized brushes, like those used to clean machine-made wall-to-wall carpets are not recommended.

Woodard Weave® woven rugs are a triumph on stairs! 27-inch wide woven runners have been used on stairways for centuries. Professional installation with padding is recommended. We’ll be happy to recommend an installer.

Standard size Woodard Weave® rugs and pads purchased through the Online Shop may be returned within 14 business days of delivery. Rugs and pads must be unused and should be returned in original packaging. To initiate a return, please call 1-212-988-2906 or 1-800-332-7847 and we will assist you in arranging for a FedEx pick up. You will receive a refund for the rug and/ or pad, less the cost of shipping, within 5 business days of receipt.

Rug and padding orders placed by phone cannot be returned. Rug and padding orders placed during a sale cannot be returned. Custom rug orders cannot be returned.

Are your flat-woven carpets and hooked rugs hand-made? Yes. Our hand-crafted products have the authenticity of 19th-Century historic rugs with the imperfections of hand-loomed and hand-dyed floor coverings.  

What are your rugs made of? Woodard Weave rugs are constructed with organic all cotton yarn, and are hand-dyed with environmentally friendly dye materials.  

What sizes of rugs do you offer? Countless sizes, including Runners made for any length, and Area Rugs large and small. Extra large seamless rugs can be made to order. Samples are available upon request.

Do you make custom sizes?  Yes! Call or email to discuss the options.

How are the ends of the woven rugs finished? Area rugs and runners are hand-knotted with fringed ends or bound with an applied cotton binding.

What kinds of binding do you offer? Cotton bindings in a variety of colors can be hand-sewn to the edges of rugs to add a distinctive border.

Do I need a pad under my rug? Yes, we offer several varieties of padding for area rugs and hall runners. Stair runner padding should be provided by your installer. Use a pad to anchor all rugs.  Please call for details on the pads we can order for you.  

Can I use your woven rugs on top of wall-to-wall carpet? Yes. Woodard Weave® may be used on top of wall-to-wall carpets. We recommend using a pad to go between to avoid transfer of colors.
