"Log Cabin-Courthouse Steps" antique pieced quilt, Pennsylvania, circa 1875. Wool challis. Among the many "Log Cabin" motifs, "Courthouse Steps" is one of the more graphic designs, especially when it is framed with diagonal "logs" on all four sides. Perfect as a wall hanging or bed cover, this quilt is composed of rich colors and subtly detailed fabrics. found only in old wool challis dress materials from the third quarter of the 19th century.

Condition: Very good, with some fading in background fabric.
